DD Punjabi is the Punjabi language channel from the stable of Doordarshan. It terrestrial transmission started on 13th April 1979.Its terrestrial transmission named as DD Jalandhar now. DD Punjabi is the satellite channel, transmission launched in 1998. DD Punjabi is transmitting a variety of program for the people. It programs not only famous with in Punjab but also other states in India. It is transmitting cultural, social, political, current affairs, news and film programs etc. DD Punjabi is transmitting through Insat 3A at 93.5 easts in C band.
