IBN Lokmat is a 24 hour Marathi language news channel. Marathi is the language in the state of Maharashtra, in India. It is a joint venture between the Marathi news paper leader Lokmat group and Network 18. IBN Lokmat launched on 6 April 2008. From the beginning it is a free to air (FTA) channel and transmitting through Insat 4A at 83 degree east. It is transmitting in C band and in Mpeg 2 mode.
