In 2005 January Sun TV began to transmit its 
second Malayalam channel named as Kiran TV. Kiran TV is a fully entertainment channel. At first it transmitted through NSS-703 then shifted the transmission to Insat 4B at 93.5 degree East.English cinemas are dubbed to Malayalam are transmitting through this channel. It was a new experience to Malayalam television channel viewers. Like other total entertainment channels Kiran TV also transmitting movies,film songs,phone in programs etc.
