Imayam TV is a 24 hour news and entertainment channel in Tamil language. It’s launched on 13th April 2006. It is not a channel for a specific group of viewers. It is a complete family entertainment channel for the 60 million Tamil speaking viewers. In the beginning it was only an entertainment channel. On 10th September 2009 Imayam TV stated to transmit news through this channel. Now it is telecast news at 8 AM, 1.30 PM, 8PM and 10PM. Imayam TV is a free to air (FTA) channel and transmitting through Insat 2 E at 83 degree east.
