Headlines Today is India’s first English news channel from the stable of TV Today Group. It launched in 2003 as a 24 hour news channel. It is the second channel from the house of TV Today network. As the name indicate it give more important to short news and cover the maximum news items in a short time. As they said the channel created to match the speed and lifestyle of the big city and specially styled to understand the urgency of news for its busy urban audience. The slogan of Headline Today is “the sharp news channel for sharp people”. As Aaj Tak it was also a free to air channel in the beginning and transmitting through Insat 2E at 83 degree east. Now Headlines Today is an encrypted channel (Pay Channel) and transmitting through Intelsat 7/10 at 68.5 degree east.
