DD Direct Plus increased transponder capacity of its three transponders and nine new test channels are start to transmitting through these transponders. By increasing the channel carrying capacity of these three transponders Doordarshan can transmit fifty-nine channels in the place of its previous fifty channels in its DD Direct Plus DTH platform.
But there is nothing to cheer for the Doordarshan DD Direct Plus customers; in the case of it does not fulfill the existing fifty channels yet. Five channels of the fifty channels are running in the test mode. After increasing the nine new test channels the total numbers of test channels are increased to fourteen.
From the beginning Doordarshan is cheating its customers. Its promise to increase the channel number to hundred is still remaining as a dream. We can forget that promise now. But cannot understand the numbers of channels are running in the test mode, when they are saying the queue of television companies waiting for a space in the Doordarshan DTH platform. Most of the customers believe that Doordarshan slow down “DD Direct Plus” development programs in order to help the private DTH companies.
