CTVN AKD PLUS

CTVN AKD PLUS is a complete entertainment satellite channel in Bengali language. Late SRI Ajith Kumar Das is the founder of this channel. CTVN is the abbreviation of Calcutta Television Network Pvt.Ltd. Its journey is started as a cable network provider in 1999. After seven years it launched the CTVN AKD PLUS channel on 23 Oct 2006. The channel catering it programs not only in West Bengal but also the adjacent states. It introduces “Live Phone In Program” first time in West Bengal. This kind of programs are popular that more than one lac calls on average with in an hour duration of program. Its program menu contains entertainment, health, educational, news programs, fiction and non fiction programs etc. CTVN is continuously upgrading and improving the qualityof programs by using update digital cameras, latest lighting equipments, multimedia software’s and latest play out on air technology etc. The channel is a free to air (FTA) channel and transmitting  through Insat 4A at 83 degree east in Mpeg2 mode.
