For the first time ever,Amrita TV is joining hands with Film Employees Federation of Kerala( FEFKA),the backbone and creative strength of the Malayalam film industry, to conduct the ''Amrita FEFKA Film Awards'' on Saturday,April 23 at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium,Kaloor,Cochin. The event was announced at a press conference today at Cochin addressed by senior officials of Amrita TV and FEFKA.
The FEFKA comprises film directors,music directors,art directors,writers,lyricists,cameramen,editors,etc .In effect, the greatest creators of Malayalam Cinema and the finest trend-setting television channel will together mount the most credible film awards event to honour excellence in Malayalam cinema in 2010.
The ''Amrita FEFKA Film Awards'' will witness an unimaginable artiste line-up,unforgettable content-mix and an unbelievable set design since it brings together the finest minds of the big screen and the mini screen. Conceived and executed with a degree of professionalism, it will be an event rarely witnessed in Kerala.
The distinguished jury panel will be chaired by nationally acclaimed film maker,Bharatiraja,along with noted actor Lakshmi,among others. There will be Competition Categories and Special Nomination Awards to capture the finest talent of Malayalam cinema.
This outdoor event directors will include trail-blazing film makers like Shaji Kailas,Sathyan Anthikkad,Kamal,Lal Jose and Shyamaprasad.The set design ,lighting,shooting will be directed by art directors and cinematographers who are voted among the best in India such as Sabu Cyril,S.Kumar and Sukumar .The best performers in playback and dances from across the country will rock the show; and skits will be scripted by noted directors like Siddique-Lal and Rafi-Macartin.Even the costume designers ,choreographers and make-up designers will be top-notch professionals from cinema
